Invite people from the Team area of your dashboard. Drivers usually join by SMS in the Maxmove driver app; people who work in the dashboard join by email.
Send an invitation
- Open Administration → Team and select Invite Member.
- Enter a mobile number with country code (for example +49) or an email address. You can invite several people at once.
- Select Review roles and choose a role for each person. Which roles you can assign is listed in Fleet roles and permissions.
- For mobile numbers, choose SMS as the delivery channel and send the invitation.
The invitation stays under Pending Invitations until the person accepts it. From there you can resend or cancel it.
SMS or email
- SMS opens the Maxmove driver app. Use it for drivers.
- Email opens the browser. Use it for people who work in the dashboard, such as dispatchers. Turn on Also drives to give them driver access as well.
How the person accepts an SMS invitation
- They open the link in the SMS. If the driver app is not installed yet, the link takes them to the download.
- When the app opens, they see the invitation to your fleet. People with a Maxmove account sign in; everyone else creates an account.
- They sign in with the invited mobile number and confirm it with the SMS code. They have now joined your fleet.
- They then set a password and add their name and email address.
The person then appears with their role under Administration → Team. For the driver's side of joining, see Join a fleet and manage assignment status.
Add existing Maxmove users directly
If a driver already has a Maxmove account with a verified mobile number, turn on Add existing Maxmove users directly. They are added to your fleet right away and no invitation is sent.
If the invitation does not arrive
- Check the number. International numbers need + and the country code.
- Resend the invitation under Pending Invitations.
- The person must sign in with exactly the mobile number the invitation was sent to. A different number cannot accept it.
