On-time performance for time windows

How Maxmove checks whether arrivals at internal order stops met their time window, and what the on-time report and CSV export show.

Written by the Maxmove team

When stops of an internal order have a time window, Maxmove evaluates every arrival at those stops. The result appears in the order next to the stop's time window. The report is in the dashboard under Analytics → On-time performance.

How it is measured

  • The first recorded arrival at the stop counts, meaning the moment the driver reports arrival.
  • Arrivals are compared to the minute with the time window that applied at that moment. An arrival at 10:00:45 for a window ending at 10:00 is on time.
  • On time means within the window, early before the window starts, late after the window ends.
  • A window "from" a time cannot be late, and a window "until" a time cannot be early. For a fixed time, exactly that minute counts.
  • The time window tolerance from the fleet settings applies before and after the window. Deviations within the tolerance count as on time; the measured deviation stays visible in the export.
  • The result is fixed at arrival. Later changes to the time window, tolerance or assignment do not change it.
  • If the driver app reports an arrival without a network connection, the time of the report in the app counts, not the time of the later upload.

Stops without an evaluation

If a stop is completed without a reported arrival, Maxmove does not estimate an arrival time. The report lists these stops separately and leaves them out of the rate.

Report and export

"Time windows met" is the share of on-time arrivals among all evaluated arrivals. You see the rate separately for pickups and deliveries. Under Breakdown, you also see it by driver or subcontractor and by customer. Each arrival belongs to the assignment that existed at arrival: your own driver, the external subcontractor's company or the partner fleet. Select a row to see its arrivals.

With Export CSV, you download a CSV file with order, references, stop, time window, arrival, result, deviation, tolerance and assignment. The export follows the period and filters, for example all arrivals for one customer over the last 365 days for an annual review.
