Load-space measurements for the listed front-wheel-drive bodies, with separate door dimensions and payload ranges.
The listed VW Crafter variants offer 3,450 mm, 4,300 mm or 4,855 mm of load length. Interior width is 1,832 mm, with 1,380 mm between the wheel arches. Cargo volume ranges from 9.9 to 18.4 m³ across these front-wheel-drive variants.

Select the body and drive layout
The table covers L3H2, L3H3, L4H3, L4H4 and L5H4 front-wheel-drive bodies. Rear-wheel-drive and 4MOTION vehicles have a different load-floor height, so their interior height and volume must be checked separately.
Check the rear aperture before the interior
The rear opening is 1,552 mm wide. It is 1,605 mm high on the listed normal-roof body and 1,840 mm high on the taller bodies. A tall roof therefore does not mean an equally tall rear door.
Floor space does not establish payload
The longer bodies offer more floor space, but that does not establish how much weight you can carry. The displayed payload ranges are derived from the published Crafter 35 gross and kerb weights; equipment and the actual vehicle remain relevant.
