Haulage subcontractors wanted: truck work for carriers and transport companies
Do you run your own trucks, from 7.5-tonners to articulated lorries? We award full loads and routes as a freight forwarder and offer jobs on the Maxmove marketplace – with a fixed price before you commit and no subscription.
- No subscription or lead fees
- Earnings shown upfront
- Choose the jobs that fit

Maxmove is looking for haulage subcontractors: carriers and transport companies with their own trucks who move loads for our business customers – for example palletised goods for wholesalers or full loads from warehouse to warehouse. As the freight forwarder we handle customer contact, planning and billing; you provide the vehicle and the driver.
For you, that means work directly from us instead of a freight exchange, with no bidding and no monthly fee. Route, load, time window and price are fixed before you commit. Transport order, consignment note and proof of delivery run digitally through the Maxmove app.
This page is for businesses with their own fleet or trucks above 3.5 t. If you drive alone with a van, you will find suitable work under transport jobs up to 3.5 tonnes and transport jobs for the self-employed.
Available jobs appear in the app after verification. Availability depends on your vehicle, area and customer demand.
Which vehicles we need subcontractors for
We work with partners in every weight class. What matters is load space, payload and equipment such as a tail lift or curtainsider – every job lists its requirements.
- 3.5 t (Sprinter, box van up to 3.5 t): courier and small transport jobs – more under transport jobs up to 3.5 tonnes
- 7.5 t (box or curtainsider, often with a tail lift): pallet transport and direct runs in the region
- 12 t to 18 t: larger pallet volumes and heavy single items
- Articulated lorry (tractor unit with semi-trailer, 40 t, 13.6 m loading length): full loads of up to 33 Euro pallets
Finding truck work: one-off jobs and regular routes
There are two ways to get work. On the marketplace you see open one-off jobs for your vehicle and accept what fits your route and schedule. On top of that, we award full loads and recurring routes for business customers directly to vetted partners as a freight forwarder. How many routes there are depends on demand – we do not promise a minimum volume.
- One-off jobs: accept them on the marketplace, the price is fixed upfront
- Regular routes: recurring runs for business customers, matched to your capacity
- Backloads: suitable jobs on your return leg, where available
Pay and payment terms for subcontractors
You see the price before you commit – no bidding and no renegotiating. Billing follows the recorded proof of delivery.
- Routes and full loads we award as a freight forwarder: fixed price per route, payment within 14 days
- Marketplace jobs: pay visible before you accept, payouts on the schedule in your fleet agreement
- Transport order with price, stops and number plates as a PDF – you confirm it via a link
- No subscription or lead fees
No subscription, no bidding: Maxmove instead of a freight exchange
Freight exchanges and job boards usually charge a monthly fee, and several carriers bid on many loads at once. With Maxmove you pay no base fee, and the price is fixed. How the exchanges differ on cost, bidding and payment is shown in our freight exchange comparison.

What do I need to qualify for transport orders?
Anyone carrying goods commercially for third parties in Germany needs different credentials depending on vehicle weight. Up to 3.5 t, a business registration, driving licence and goods-in-transit liability insurance are enough; above that you also need the permit under § 3 GüKG.
| Permitted gross weight | Permit | Note |
|---|---|---|
| up to 3.5 t | Business registration, no road haulage permit | The entry point for courier and light transport – workable as a one-person business |
| above 3.5 t | Permit under § 3 GüKG or an EU licence | Requires professional competence, financial standing and good repute |
| all classes | Goods-in-transit liability insurance | No order is released without a valid policy |
This overview is not legal advice. The GüKG and the conditions set by your competent authority govern – when in doubt, ask your chamber of commerce or the BALM.
