Operating company vehicles in Germany comes with keeper liability (Halterverantwortung), including:

• Licence checks: regularly verify and document that every driver holds a valid licence.
• Roadworthy vehicles: organise inspection dates, maintenance, and defect fixes on time; establish departure checks.
• Driver safety instruction (UVV): run and document annual instructions.
• Documentation: keep driver logbooks, handover protocols, and damage reports tidy.
