Have a car transported
A used car purchase, an unregistered vehicle, a classic or an accident write-off: each case has a different sensible answer. Your request goes to partner forwarders running the matching car transporters.
We broker this transport to partner forwarders
This transport needs specialist vehicles outside the Maxmove fleet, such as car carriers or secured vehicles for high-value goods.
You describe the load, dimensions, date and route. We collect the quotes from vetted partner forwarders and come back with a concrete proposal, so you do not run the coordination yourself.
Open or enclosed
The open transporter is the standard case and markedly cheaper, because several vehicles travel at once. The enclosed one shields against weather and stone chips and is chosen for classics, new cars and high-value vehicles. The premium is considerable — it pays where the paintwork carries the value.
Driveable or not
Whether a vehicle can drive onto the ramp under its own power changes both effort and price noticeably. Non-runners need a winch or forklift, sometimes a different transporter altogether. State it up front — discovering on the day that the winch is missing costs the whole slot.
Driving it over as an alternative
For driveable, registered vehicles, having a driver take it over is often cheaper than loading it onto a truck. The trade-off: those kilometres land on the odometer and the car is exposed to the road. Usually irrelevant for a used car, out of the question for a classic.
