A collection receipt records which shipment a driver accepted at the collection point. It creates a clear handover between sender and transport operator and supplements the transport order.
Collection sequence
The driver first matches the order and location, then checks quantity, packaging and visible condition. Date and time are recorded, discrepancies are confirmed, and names or signatures complete the acceptance.
Discrepancy example
The order lists four boxes, but only three are available. The driver does not silently set the job to complete; they record “3 of 4 collected”, add a photo where required and notify dispatch. Later, the record shows that the difference existed before departure.
A digital collection receipt can be captured through the driver app. Its form should make required fields, discrepancy reasons and sync status obvious. Maxmove connects collection confirmation with the route, shipment and later proof of delivery.
Record collection in three steps
